Forming a New Bond

OLAPLEX is a hair care brand founded in 2014 with the aim of rebuilding broken hair disulfide bonds. This project was developed as a repositioning and communications strategy for OLAPLEX at a time when the brand needed to strengthen credibility, clarify its value proposition, and reconnect with both beauty consumers and professionals. Rather than focusing only on product promotion, the campaign reframed OLAPLEX as a brand that pairs proven bond-building science with human connection, education, and empowerment.

The Big Idea

Campaign Title:
We’re Bonded by OLAPLEX

Tagline:
“Empowering More Women with Every Bond We Build”

Partner:
“In Partnership with Dress for Success”

The central idea, “We’re Bonded,” turns OLAPLEX’s bond-building technology into a broader emotional platform. The campaign uses the science of repairing hair bonds as a metaphor for rebuilding confidence, trust, and community. This created a concept that was both technically grounded and emotionally resonant.

Target Audience
